Blissenbach internal tube inside scarfing systems have been known for many years for exactly what they are supposed to do: deburring tubes inside!

Only a few of our customers know that a hydraulic Blissart tool can be converted into a weld bead rolling tool in just a few simple steps.

To do this, the standard notched roller on the hydraulic tools is replaced with a so-called weld bead roller. This roller has a continuous profile, which flattens the weld bead.

With this process, it is also recommended to remove the cutting ring holder. A major advantage is that this eliminates annoying waste – in the form of small chips or, in the worst case, a long weld wire.

Depending on the material and wall thickness, seam rolling can achieve a seam protrusion of approximately 0.1 to 0.2 mm, which may be entirely sufficient for many applications.

However, in the area of the beadroller, the tube should also be supported from the outside to generate the necessary counterpressure.

Whether a beadroller can be used naturally depends on your end customer’s specifications. Beadrollers can be used without any problems in our mechanical tools with double-lever arms and our hydraulic tools.
