In contrast to the mechanical ID scarfer, the required pressure application for the hydraulic model is applied by a flat piston system to a pressure carriage, which features two pressure rollers. The external on-off switching for hydraulic pressure permits the ID scarfer to be retracted or extended into the cut, even during operation. This results in longer cutting ring service life, achieved by directed lowering for cross welds as well as for restarting production. Replaceable cutting ring holders permit the use of cutting rings of different working radii. Cutting ring height adjustment in these cases is similar to that of the mechanical ID scarfer.

In addition, the hydraulic tool features a powerful jet of emulsion for cooling copy rollers and cutting ring. This frees the rollers of dirt, while also preventing material buildup on the tool edge. Finally, an adjustable notching roller helps produce short chips for easy removal from the production tube.

  • Operating pressure based on chip cross section approx 5 to 50 bar
  • Replaceable pressure carriages for operating range adjustment
  • Adjustable cutting ring cooling
  • Cutting ring holder system permits replacement with different cutting ring sizes
  • Continuous fine adjustment of cutting ring height from outside through open seam tube
  • Copy rollers and pressure rollers cooled and lubricated by system coolant
  • An adjustable notching wheel to achieve shorter chips (5 increments)
  • A turnbuckle coupling connects the inside tube scarfer with the impeder or an extension bar
  • The hydraulic coolant lines connect automatically
  • Feature for on-off switching for hydraulic pressure
  • This permits scarfer to be moved in and out of the cut – even during operation (pinpoint precision lowering for machine shutdown or for cross weld) – this results in significantly improved service life, hence reduced machine-related downtime
  • The lateral wear protection made of carbide metal in the area of the copy rollers (notching rollers) and wear protection discs for the pressure rollers ensures maximum service life of tool base body and pressure carriage
  • No external hydraulic or coolant lines – everything enclosed within the scarfer body – this prevents mechanical damages

The World’s Smallest Hydraulic ID Scarfers – for Diameter of 16 - 22 mm
The smallest member of the hydraulic ID scarfers of Ernst Blissenbach GmbH presents itself smaller than ever. With its length of 174 mm, our mini deburrer covers an internal tube diameter range of 16 - 22 mm. Our product range is thus expanded to include smaller diameters. Possible areas of application are small and thick walled tubes or cylinder tubes as well as the use with high strength materials.
